Hace miles de años el mar del caribe bañaba gran parte de la provincia de Salta, al retirarse dejó uno de los lagos más grandes del mundo. El siglo pasado el hombre recreó el inmenso espejo de agua construyendo el Dique Cabra Corral, que se nutre no sólo de un paisaje de exuberantes formaciones con riqueza geológica y arqueológica, sino también de historias, leyendas y personajes. A pocos metros se encuentran las Posadas Solar del Dique, un sitio donde recrearse y disfrutar de la exuberante naturaleza, trepando montañas, pescando, navegando o simplemente relajándose en un ambiente confortable.

History

Thousands of years ago the province of Salta was covered by the Caribbean Sea; when it disappeared it left one of the biggest lakes in the world. During the last century that huge water surface was recreated by man when the Dique Cabra Corral was built. This place is nourished not only by a landscape with rich geological and exuberant archaeological formations but also by history, legends and famous characters. Just a few meters from Dique Cabra Corral you will find Posadas Solar del Dique, a place where you will amuse and enjoy abounding nature by climbing mountains, fishing, sailing or just relaxing in a comfortable atmosphere.
